LYOFAL has a Research & Development Department which works out freeze-drying parameters.

• Feasibility study of lyophilisation
• Formulation study (cryoprotector and lyoprotector)
• Freezing path optimisation study
• Optimisation study of a lyophilisation cycle

This department uses equipments to make eutectic measures in order to optimize the freeze-drying cycles, to draw up regulatory support and to better make the equipment profitable. It offers assistance to the customer within the framework of his development project.

• Freeze drying microscope to determine critical temperature (eutectique)
• Coulometer to measure the residual humidity left using the Karl Fisher method
